Good evening folks and folkettes.

Another noob to the forum :) I've just treated myself to a Canon 500D with the 18-55mm and 70-300mm bundle thats around a couple of weeks ago and already looking to get a decent fisheye, proper zoom and a few decent filters to play.

As a kid I was lucky enough to play with a rather nice Nikon (to long ago to remember which model) and develop my own shots but have not played with photography in years so most of what I did know has been long lost!!

So now on here to try and pick up a few tips and tricks and see whats possible with my new toy :)

I get one day off a week and as it's still a new toy I'm off wandering trying to find things to shoot...

Rather lenghty intro (sorry), look forward to learning new bits and apologies already if I ask to many questions :)

there are several of us local to 'Amazingstoke'..can't believe I just said that! Also quite a number local to Hants.
 
Superb, should be good for some meets in the summer as some great locations not a million miles away, Basingstoke Canal, RAF Odiham, Port Solent and south coast not a million miles away :)

Am sure there are more but haven't really looked as hard yet as works a bit manic so hoping for some days off when things quiet down a tad...

Although I'll have you all banging your heads on the nearest walls with some daft questions I'm sure :bang:
