Hi folks,
I've just discovered this forum. I have re-awoken my interest in photography since I bought a Nikon D40 with 3 lenses and an SB600 flash last week.
I used to use a film based canon EOS system that I used to obtain a city and guilds in black and white photography.
As digital began to phase out film I switched over but could not afford a digital SLR. For this reason I have been using a Fuji bridge camera. The latest of which has been the S7000. I have had reasonable results from it but found it very limiting without the lens choice, etc.
I hope to get out and have a play with my new toy over the next few days. I need to relearn all the stuff I have forgotten over the last few years about F stops, shutter speeds, etc.
I have a long way to go and will have plenty of questions along the way.
Eventually I hope to be able to contribute more to other newbies as my experience increases.
