Bonjour everyone. Sorry to be so pretentious but I do live in France - although if you think we are basking in sunshine think on
.. its damp, cold and miserable at the moment.
So, Im coming up to being an OAP in 2 weeks time but although the body is falling to bits and defying gravity, the brain still works fine.
Ive always loved photography I once belonged to Camera Club in UK but was forced into digital by hubby a year ago. The cost of developing endless reels of film each week was breaking the bank so I hung up my beloved cameras and bought a little Lumix to get me started. Now Im converted just Im saving for a Canon 40D. Im no expert when it comes to taking photos but I know what I like and try to do my best. I used to like messing around in the darkroom at the Camera Club but unfortunately cant do that now.
This forum, and site, looks wonderful; packed full of advice, ideas and people who know what they are talking about but not making people like me who havent a clue what we are talking about feel stupid.
Im really looking forward to getting to know you and learn, and as soon as I have my shiny new camera in hand Ill be badgering you all for help and advice.
Well, thats a brief history of me then.
Oh yes, another thing, I talk a lot .but dont say much!

Having just come back from France myself, I can vouch for the awfulness of the weather.
