Has anyone had a play around with Bokeh photography? I'm planning on having a go at making some lenses today, just wondered how others had found it.
 
Ok, im confused. Make lenses? Surely you achieve varying degrees of Bokeh by using wide apertures on your lens...

Yes, but you can also make various shape lenses to create different styles; hearts, stars etc..

Check out the Lensbaby Creative Aperture Kits... Same idea. You can make shapes in the discs and the shape of the bokeh is altered... It's quite cool. Never tried it myself but will be interested to see how the OP makes out...

I tend to do that at Christmas time. The coloured lights on the tree and miserable weather outside are ideal for it. But if you live in a city, city lights and traffic also works.

You're making an aperture, not a lens :)
 
Well.. bigger is generally better :)
