I've been using my 550D for a few years now and I've felt it's limitations for a while now, especially with low light and night photography which is what I like to do the most. I borrowed my sisters 6D over the Christmas period and that has pretty much set my mind on looking for a 6D body because I found the low light and night shooting capabilities of it absolutely amazing. Although saying that I have noticed the new 7D mk2 is around a similar price, but I know nothing about how it performs, I've just read tech stats on paper.
I know the new 7D mk2 isn't FF, but does anyone have any experience with it compared to the 6D's noise performance?
The noise performance is the main factor for me, I'd actually love some usable shots at ISO 6400 which I know the 6D is capable of, but then again the new 7D's bells and whistles takes my fancy. Like better AF points, 60fps 1080p video (6D only does 30fps), 10fps continuous shooting and 31RAW buffer.
I don't shoot one type of subject, I like to shoot all sorts of things but night photography is my favorite (starscapes, milky way, landscapes, etc). If the 7D mk2 can handle high ISO and have usable shots I'd imagine I'd be edging towards it over the 6D.
If anyone has any sample pictures of the 7Dmkii and high ISO then please share.
Cheers!
