Ok I held the rebel xti and the d40x yesterday. The both feel good but I don’t like the rebel it is small and I kind have big hands and the d40x a good size and feel good. But I wonder if I add the body armor to the rebel xti would improve the size and feel.

try adding the battery grip
makes the rebel feel much bigger and more balanced

the armour will add a couple of mm to each direction. Not much difference...

Best way of improving the 350/400/450D range is to add the battery grip.

And it will make it more saleable as a package if you decide to trade up

I've had a 350D and now 400D and have had the grip on both, it makes it feel really chunky and much more balanced, would be pleased to hear about the armour if you go for it...
