I just got told about this and couldn't see this posted before but if it has it's just another reminder.

18 Spitfires and 6 Hurricanes doing the rounds on the 18th August. Biggin Hill web site has the details but if you are in the South East they can't be far away from you as they will be split into 3 sorties.

Being on hols on The Isle Of Wight might have some perks after all. And I am now glad I bought all my gear rather than just my G15.
 
Hope it's good weather and it'll be an awesome sight, went to the Duxford Flying Legends the other month and when they did a flypast of lots of the Spitfire's etc, it was an awesome sight...:)
 
They're flying over my village at 1. We have a great viewpoint on the top of the Downs. I'll be wandering there.
 
Well that was slightly annoying. They didn't follow the route on the map at all. They were due to fly over Vigo at 13.04. We saw them as tiny dots in the distance. They went a lot further south :(
 
This plane makes grown men go weak at the knees !!

They probably would have been a lot better if my Tamron 70-300 wasnt so crap, i knew what i was doing (first time shooting aircraft) , i'd had a better viewpoint and the weather had been better.

Was in a field next to the runway which had a lovely large bush running along the fenceline.

I would have got a ticket to get in weeks ago if they hadn't been charging £40 for them.
