Hi

Is it possible to remove or hide the number plate on a car using Lightroom?

I know it can be done via Photoshop but what to know if at all possible with LR.

Thank you

Id say use the spot removal tool and replace number plate with a piece of something else say body work or background

Thank you, would like to keep it the same colour. The car is red so would not work, and don't have anything on the picture that is white or yellow.[emoji16]

Radial filter, invert and then adjust exposure or whatever suits

Radial filter did not work well, have used affinity for now.
Thank you all for the help and suggestions.

@sep9001 Lightroom is really meant to be a catalogue with built-in adjustment tools.

Best possible option is to click on the Adjustment Brush (or press K).
If needed, adjust the brush size.
Run the brush over the plate (don't worry about what is happening, we'll get to this in the next step)
Adjust the following to maximum...
  • Exposure
  • Contrast
  • Hightlights
  • Shadows
  • Whites
  • Blacks
Just move the sliders all the way to the right, one after other, until you've made it look so washed out that the text could not be seen.

By the way, that worked for the front white plate as I have done it, but I haven't tried the rear yellow plate, so you'll have to try adjusting those settings to see what you can do.

Thank you for the detailed answers. Will have a play when next on the PC.

Just use Photoshop content aware delete tool - simple enough :)

send it to me- I'll do it for you lol

Les :)
