Please read second post first, as that's my primary concern. My orignal post reads as follows (just because I might be in the Lakes this weekend)...

I'm after some first hand knowledge on Bluebells in the Lake District, near Ambleside - Grasmere area ideally.

I can't be sure as my memory is sketchy but I'm sure I've been told there is a great spot somewhere around in between Rydal Water and Grasmere that is covered in them and would potentially offer a great sunrise bluebells photography. I've driven the road here countless times, but have never stopped in this area, but know there is a car park for White Moss walk (I think), so that would otherwise be my starting point.

I'm after the classic sun through pristine forest onto a carpet of bluebells shot.

Thanks all.

Plenty of views - no replies, so let me change things a bit.

Basically I'm after anywhere within a couple hours drive of Manchester where there is a thick carpet of Bluebells in a pristine woodland setting. Something similar to:

Dockey Wood in Ashridge: http://www.robertodemicheli.com/album/UK Countryside/slides/IMG_9646H.jpg

Micheldever in Hampshire: http://www.jamesappleton.co.uk/images/Galleries/Light/Micheldever Bluebells UK.jpg

Or the closest to home I can find so far, Coton Manor in Northamptonshire: http://www.gardeningscotland.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/bluebells_06.jpg

I'm not after bluebells for the sake of bluebells, there are a few woods near me but they're thick, untidy, or patchy - I'm really after a lovely clean forest setting.

So far I'm down to a 5 hour round trip and would very much like to take some time off that please! Any help greatly appreciated.
