As some of you know i have nasty habit of well doing things as a bit of a surprise..

Well said baby Girl is turning 17 tomorrow and wanted Tiffany earrings which mummy got her. oh and her provisional driving licence. So what did dad do????

All you need now is someone to buy her the insurance.

Dad did that too
Robs banks does he? :)
Point of interest, when she passes her Test the insurance premium will go up!!! Apparently because they can now drive by themselves they are more "dangerous".

No apparent in it. I could provide a wealth of stats to substantiate that unsupervised inexperienced drivers are far more likely to have an accident. Generally it is young males who tend to do it more frequently and have more "larger" crashes...but under various equality acts we cannot make the distinction along the basis of gender any more, despite it being blatently obvious.

Lynton thank you and yes i think she will be very happy..

and dad also booked her 50 lessons today.. and once she has passed pass plus also the son on his birthday is getting all round parking sensors as he bumps into most bollards..

i heard that in NZ a new young [18?] driver - for the first year

1..can drive the car alone

or 2...if he wishes to have 'mates' along - there has to be a adult included

this is to cut out the ''4 mates in a car fooling around'' distractions often attributed to a crash

sounds a good idea...

Very nice......... Wish I had a mother like you. If you ever feel that your daughter/son is receiving too much.... Please send surplus gifts this way

Derek exactley, but now we save.. Lee-James. funny how many people are saying that lol.

How did you manage to hide the car before her birthday?!
Very generous presents by both parents!

the Garage held it for us until yesterday then we did the banners and then hid it at a pals.

and 50 lessons yes if she passes before that then they will be used for pass plus. should she have any left over the will refund.

so a very happy little girl.

When I turned 17 my mum and dad got me a Ford Escort MK2.

Looking at this post I suddenly feel very, very old ....... ;-)

I got my dad's old Datsun Cherry, now that was a car........................................just!

Mind you I was 21, not one of these young whippersnappers

That's because you are old !!!!!! ok not as old as me,
