Was in my local Jessops store last weekend buying a rucksack - which was fine for £12.45. Whilst there I bought a pair of Energiser LR44 batteries - had no idea how much they cost, but paid £5.95 for them. I now find I could have bought them at a load of other places for half that price and Amazon are selling them for £0.84!!!

Gutted!

Did the same thing with a CR2 except @ £6 I did a double take and thought better of it.
An hour later I found them in Morrisons, Duracell ultra CR2 twin pack £1.99........aaaand it was a bogof....so now I have 4 batteries I'll never use for £1.99..:D

lesson learned always check around 1st, saying that im a b****r for impulse buying lol

Small stuff, like batteries, has traditionally been a very high mark-up item in every bricks-and-mortar retailer (something has to be, nothing else is). If you're buying it on the High Street you're deperate (similar logic to bath-tub pricing used by airlines).

Five for £1.99 or fifteen for £2.99 on 7DS (although not Energiser).
