Blazin' Squad - Release Week :)

Thought I'd watch the video and listen to the song and I actually found myself liking it, it just looks and feels "natural", if you know what I mean.
My 20 years old nephew, Martin, is quite an accomplished rap artist (not professionally, of course). He must be good at it as he sang to an appreciative audience at a gathering on a beach. I wonder how well your son and my nephew would get on should they ever meet up? :D :)
My uncle (also a Martin) used to be a member of a well known local band called "The Sundowners" where they played middle-of-the-road type songs in pubs and night clubs around the Kent area. Legend has it that they wrote "House Of The Rising Sun", but then a month later The Animals came out with an identical version which reached the charts. It lead to a long running court battle claiming copyrights which to this day never reached a conclusion. Sadly my uncle Martin passed away but he had left a legacy in the form of his music.
All the best for your son, at least he's making a real good name for himself.

Cheers Neil and Ian

Great link there to some history Ian - its a dodgy business to be in and its a sea full of sharks as I'm sure you're aware! :(

Clearly very proud, and you should be.

I never thought anything negative of Blazing Squad, their intentions were always clear to me - they like making music and do so.

This one is quite good, I didn't mind listening to it, and while I know they're not going for a street scene, the song wouldn't be out of place on a kidulthood/adulthood soundtrack.

Congratulations

Two bits of news:

1) The video just topped 300,000 views :)

2) The lads are on Britains Got Talent (ITV2) tonight (Thursday 28th) after the main show doing some intros and performing the song :)

In case you're interested :D

It's not really my type of music John (although I did find myself tapping along), but, they've done a good job, even more so, as they did the entire thing beginning to end, which takes talent, and is so often lacking from modern music (oh dear... listen to me ;))... Onwards and upwards  and you've every reason to be proud.
