I thought you had a certain card that would 'move them along'...![]()
Never thought of that Andy. I did however revisit early this morning before work and managed to achieve a no people photograph.much prefer the 2nd body shot and the guy posing just adds to it![]()
just catching up with your 52.... love the "abandoned garage" shot.. great idea for body... I would have struggled with that one.
See you Sunday

Hi Iain,
Dam two more great shots, how lucky to have the perfect subject for this week.
Number one, I agree about the right hand side needing a crop but otherwise I like it as is.
Number two, I had no idea how big this was until I saw this. I think the people are needed to add scale, maybe not the lady posing with her leg up though!

Time - I was after a similar shot but the egg timer I bought wasn't good enough for this. Nice shot although would agree with others about the RHS
Body - Good one. I like the use of the people on the balcony.

Hi ya
Well , I can't choose between the 2 images you've posted for Body as both are spot on , in focus , sharpness , colors both bright & muted & what an original idea for the theme
I think , after much pondering , that your 1st image pips it to the post....simply ,& this is being really picky , there is a small blurry area to the RH top of the base on the 2nd image...which reminds me of my attempts at cloning :bang:
See you in week 35![]()
Hiya Lynne

Absolutely brilliant
Show off!
Thanks Marsha, sometimes things just click oh absolutely brilliant - it would take me more than a week to get good enough to do drops n stuff so I am going to have to think of something else![]()
ummm ok I will give it a try - I have the whole week off so no excuse really - and I have an empty fish tank![]()
Great stuff! I also thought of a splashy-type shot but in the end I posted something else.

Brilliant, Iain. Cracker. Been meaning to try this for a while.
Hate to crit on such a superb photograph, but if focus on your hand had been sharp, it would be been the best photograph posted for a long time...there, said it
Still, cracker.
Cheers.

Cheers Andy, you make a very good point there.
My thinking behind the choice of focus was that with the water splash being the foreground object, if it was oof would it not be more distracting
I am not sure now, but I've got all week so time to have a further play.
I think it looks better with the water in focus, but I will try both![]()
I hear you. Water = liquid = theme.
Looking forward to seeing any shoots/reshoots...![]()

I think it looks better with the water in focus, but I will try both![]()

Oh god now I have to choose, but I can't :bonk:
Much prefer the clarity and sharpness in number two but the wider shot of number one has greater impact!
Attempt number three please?![]()
Attempt #3 would ideally be a combination of both I suppose Marsha.
Iain, both super shotsOut of the 2, I am going for number 2, gives a great impact and focus is great, if anything, I would crop to just above the bottom stay bubble.

I liked more of the splash showing on no.1 and I didn't really notice the focus, but the focus on 2 does add something

number 2 for me it doesn't need so much of the arm as the subject is liquid very creative and superbly executed![]()
Body - bang on theme and nicely done. I like that the people give an idea of size but personally think the image would have more impact without them.
Liquid - I prefer the framing and colour of 1, but the focus on the hand in 2 is better. 2 I find overly contrast-y, which I think looks good on the water but not so good on the hand. The idea is fantastic though and very well done, definitely on theme.
Iain - love your photos.
This lot just turned up in my RSS feed and were instantly recognisable without checking the photographer's name.

Liquid - your final version with the crop works well - love the rotation too. Liked it more before I looked at the earlier versions to see how it was done! Great pic.

Iain
Nice idea. Very sharp centre and great colours. Lovely light feel to it.
Think I would go for 1.55![]()
