Iain i think you pulled magical off to a tee, 3 great shots.
number 1 for me and i think the bold black frame does it justice.

Thanks Darren, I am very pleased with how this came together.

What a great series of on theme photos - really well done![]()
A great set of pics Iain, Like them all, number 1 is probably tops though. Your hard work has paid off.
Hi Iain
Magical - really on theme - a magical tableau in the woods. Brought Midsummer Nights Dream to mind
good use of colour, scenery pov and focus.
#1 is the best composition but #2 looks a beter exposed shot to me. #3 is clever but not as interesting as the other 2
Really creative stuff![]()

Shiny - Iain....that is spooky as I know exactly where that is and was planning to go there yesterday for exactly that shot as the one up near where I work has since been coned off and cant get near it due to Crossrail.......loving the magical take....great pictures
Shiny - Fantastic shot, must of took ages to polish first too
Magical - Well what can I say... superb mate, a cracking set, no:1 is really REALLY good but the 2nd is a clear fav for me![]()
The magical pictures are Amazing how did you do it

excellent wire faery's very well put together photos story.![]()
far too much time on your hands.....................
love the magical set!
It does seem so doesnt it?Crackers. For me it's the muted colours that really emphasise the magical feel.
Cheers.
Your magical theme is truly stunning. I'd love to be able to take pictures of your quality Iain.
Wonderful Iain,
great set - I liked 2, then I saw 3 and that did it for me!
Fab work, I like this a lot.
Thanks Carly.
In what respect do you mean how did I do it?
I will explain my process to hopefully answer your question.
As mentioned in the original post for magical, I made the "fairies" myself using wire i bought from B&Q, with the addition of coloured wire from a craft shop. The toadstool is a garden ornament, again from B&Q. To give a sense of scale, the toadstool stands around 8inches high.
The location is woods at the back of my house, the flying fairy was suspended from some wire around a big stick out of shot, then some pp to remove said wire. A bit more pp on the images and there you go.
For any younger readers, please ignore all of the above, I really saw fairies in the woods this morning![]()

Thank you for explaining and the fairies are genuinely amazing you could sell them as gifts
but i do chose to believe you seen wire fairies down at the bottom of your garden![]()

Hi,
Win....nice image, like the colours, simple but effective, bang on theme.
Shiny... I tried this myself but my silver balls were a bit chipped lol.
Magical...wow really like these, the best I've seen so far, they definitely look magical, my daughter who is obsessed with tinkerbell also approves lol.
Matt
fantastic and damn you are dedicated to this 52! a great set of shot but for me its number one it looks like you happened upon them in the woods
Number 2 is my favourite but they all capture the theme great!![]()
Right just playing catchup to get up to date now I've posted my Shiny lateand still need to shoot my "magical".
Shiny - great shot and nice composition.
Magical - Number 2 is the best, the composition is great as is exposure. I love the post processing on this too, what technique did you use?
Shiny, that's great, spot on for the theme.. now how did you not get in it ?? or is that a great job of cloning...
Magical, a great set, and they're all good... I'm torn between them, but I think probably go for #2 as my fave.

'Magical' - Love this. not are you only a good photographer, you're a good craftsman too !
I think you could sell these fairies. I can imagine them being sold in a lot of shops in touristy Glastonbury for example - there is a hugh market for all things magical down there!
Outstanding!, impressed by the amount of effort you have put in this week - Nick![]()

Shiny- a great image well captured.
Magical - very creative, you could quite easily sell your wire work IMO. Brilliant shots, no.1 for me also.
Thanks John
No, no cloning involved, if you look closely you can see me sitting on the steps with a long lens
Glad you like magical too.
Love the whole set for Magical....very well thought out , nicely shot & fab idea....top marks mister

Aha... Sneaky, sniped yourself... worked great though...

Hi Iain, I can't really say any more that hasn't been said already! Wonderful magical shots and you really should be selling those fairies!!
I wonder if we'll see these fairies popping up in on other themes!!![]()
Wonderful
Shiny Great minds think alike. The blue sky definitely has brought out the best in this photo. Nicely exposed.
Magical Whilst Ive yet to get going on commenting on this weeks theme, I have been keeping my eye out for entries. I have to say these are my favourite so far. Well worth the time creating the props. Great idea and well executed.
I like the 2nd and 3rd ones best, also love the processing
huh, just had a proper look and can't believe I've missed loads of your shots! Do you hide em somewhere? lol
and I missed the fact that you made those lil fairies! cool work, love em even more now!
No worries Summer!
