Now that is smart thinking, I really like the thought behind that idea![]()
Thanks for your comments Alby

I like this image a lot. Simple composition, well exposed. My only minor niggle is a slight flare from the iPhone screen it its reflection.
Phil
Hi Iain,
Love the lego shot btw!
Anyway, I think Present is your strongest shot to date. Good composition and well lit considering all the shiny surfaces. Would have said it was perfect if Phil hand't pointed out what he did. Now he has, I haveto agree with him
Ian.
Loving the original idea for present. Very effective image when you realise what it's actually showing. At first i saw the image and though 'Oh these must have been gifts' then i thought a bit further and i realised how much thought had gone in to it. Great work![]()
I like the concept, I too first thought that they were all gifts.
I did notice, that there's a slight colour cast making the background look a bit blue, 2 secs in photoshop will remove it.
I do like present - it's a nice concept, and well executed. Nicely done![]()
do like Present and its a great interpretation of the theme
There's a shadow above the Travis CD which distracts me slightly... easy fix in PP though... I do like the off-centre composition - works very well. Perhaps a vignette to black along the bottom edge rather than the cropped reflection may look better?
EDIT: 2 minute tweak attached

Time to catch up.
curves... really like the concept and the immage. shadows look great but i agree with whats been said that maybe a larger DoF would help
poems/poetry... not sure about the colour/contrast of the image. fantastic idea but maybe for me a little lighter(but that maybe my screen...everything looks dark at the moment.
chopped.... neat idea and well thought out. but yes the crowd do look a bit wierd.......
Street... think the first one for me... really love the colours and contrast of the image.
Speed... not sure which one i prefer... like the idea behind the orchestra but like the effect of the light trails....hmmmm not sure...
Present... really nice concept and something i thought of...Past,Present and future thing but could not find the subject....well done
Good thinking behind your past to present, shame you didn't quite get the full reflection. Note to self... mustbget some perspex

I like the present shot very much, particularly after Stuart's fix. Great idea.![]()
Hi Iain,
Just a quick comment on week 6 - I like it lots - really captures how the digital age is taking over.......... wonder if there will be such a thing as HMV selling CD's in 5 years time or we'll all be downloading to the Ipod 9th Generation whatever.........
Nice crisp image........ Notice someone said above, about full vinyl reflection, which is a good point but not sure it would work in a portrait mode...........
Really like it - and I must admit looked through a few week 6's now and amazed as the various interpretations on such a simple 7 letter word.
Lynton.
P.S. Jobsworth only picked on you last weeks as he worked out that "you hent from round these hare parts, are yew."

really stunning shot, a good take on this weeks theme
Thank-you Darren
This 52 lark isn't getting any easier, I really have to wrack my brain to think of images to fit the theme.
Iain
Not much point to it if it's too easy though is there?
Stuart, I like the way you have edited the image, nice onethanks for taking the time.
Good idea for Present Iain and well taken.
Nice clean shot - I like it !![]()
Present is excellent. A good idea and an excellent photo. I like the reflection. Its made me realise I should buy some different background materials for indoor shots so you have taught me something.
Good idea, perhaps a tighter crop - the empty space on right doesnt add much.
like the fact EYES feature in each media type
ahh just seen the edited version, better - softer reflection and nicer on the eye
also just seen Sarahs comment, spooky! I swear i didnt copy you!
Nice one Iain. I like the link between the three formats.
I'd not heard of Rainbow before, so got straight onto LastFM and I'm currently listening to the album - enjoying it too - cheers!
I like this idea a lot...
just a little more care with your image cutout would polish this image up nicely. Very well done![]()

I like this idea, the family bond idea is really strong. The only thing for me is the mans hand looks slightly OOF which is a little distracting.

This is a great idea. My eyes were going round and round trying to count hands. My only niggle is the harsh shadow but otherwise very nicely done.
I think Stuart is referring to the jaggies round some of hands and arms. Probably likely down to image compression needed to fit it in the TP gallery. Might be worth hosting yourself or grabbing a free flickr account to host high quality jpegs.
