Every now and again i see a Blackberry for sale in the classifieds, ive done a google and found its a phone but what will it do that my Samsung D500 wont do cheers...Ray:)
 
Its a smartfone, which offers advanced and computer like qualities, like email etc. Some, notably iPhone and Nokia, have OS that allow for third part applications. Whereas, LGs, despite being similarly priced, do not have the option of applications.

Ah right thank you, so if i wanted to send emails how would that work do you pay extra:thinking:
 
Well I would have thought you do do that on your G500. My old Sony K800i does, though I use a Nokia 5800. However, smartphones are typically wireless, meaning you can contact ot the internet, either your home broadband or one of the many free hotspots out and about, such as M, Starbuckes often colleges etc. Also on a smartphone you can customise more options. I have just got the free 30 day trial of mobile sat nav and internet, and it works a treat. Once the 30 day trial is over I'd have to pay and extra £7 per month, whicj I'm not so will cancel. I have also set up my nokia to check for new emails every day at 6. pm. And if you were to go for a smartphone, you have the choice of apps. Indeed you can get thousands on iphone, but it is dear. You can still get a hellofvalot on Nokia as well. If you're on contract, when its coming to the end, no doubt the provider would be able to fix you up with a smartphone for a good price. Perhaps go into carphone warehouse and see what takes your fancy and have a go? When I'm getting a free upgrade in January, I will probably keep my 5800 and sell on the upgrade as I'm happy with it and would prefer a couple of hundred pounds instead!
 
Blackberry offer something called push email. Basically you can set it so all emails are automatically forwarded to your device. Instead of logging onto internet and then checking the mails that way. Clever stuff. I'm with O2 and I dont pay any extra for internet or email, about 20 odd quid a month on an 18 month contract

Ah i think there maybe a problem then as im pay as you go:'(
 
I think you can still get internet on pay as you go...
 
i am payg with t-mobile , just paid £100 for a blackberry 8110 with a years free e-mail and internet , kept my payg number as well , the problem i have is , come a years time if i cant get as good a deal i am going to be gutted , absoloute bargain of a deal in my opinion , spent an hour in the doctors this morning waiting for blood tests , it flew by when i could surf the net for free :lol:
 
the Push email feature is rocking, many a time I have had an important email thats needed a response regarding work asap.
