Black Rapid RS7 or alternative?

Neck strap is anoying the hell out of me so looking at a sling strap.

First choice was the Black Rapid RS7. Like the look of this one, being able to take of the strap easily is a big thing.

Only downside is that I hear the clip can scratch the bottom of the camera. No idea how true this is?

Also looking at the Sun Sniper Pro - this looks like there is no chance it would scratch the camera... but also looks like you cant remove the camera from the strap that easily.

Any user recommendations or views on the above straps and my concerns?

I have Black rapid attached to tripod ring on my 300F4, not noticed any scratching on the bracket.

For me I would rate it extremely high on my list of purchases
 
Standard Pentax strap is just rubbish!

Now got the dilemma or RS7 or sport or sport 2!!!
 
Q-Strap with 'L' plate works for me.

I too use it with a 300 f4 and a 70-200 f2.8. I've not noticed scratching of the camera or tripod foot. If you use the manfrotto rc2 QR plates you could always purchase the connector to alter this QR plate. The QR plate would then protect the tripod foot or the bottom of the camera from the carabiner.
 
I have a feeling damage that I have read about was done when camera was in bag. I would more than likely remove the rapid before it goes in the bag.

What's the main difference between the RS7 and sport 2?
 
I have used an RS-7 on my 7D from day one and have noticed no damage.

Great strap IMO.

It can't simply not true, there is a little rubber thing that stops it. However if you over tighten it over time it can leave a round impression on the bottom of the camera.
 
You can purchase them from the manufacturer in America and with delivery they are almost the same price as E-bay. I almost did it as I still dont trust E-bay, but i ended up going with the Q Strap and I must say, I like it

The main difference is that the Sport has the Brad attached, which goes under the arm to stop the strap from rotating. The Sport 2 is the same as the Sport but with a narrower shoulder pad.

I have the Sport 2 and love it. The narrower pad isn't as chunky looking. However even after a day of carrying 3kg worth of camera and lens I don't feel it

Strongly recommend!
 
Ive used mine loads and have no scraches so far
I have the sport rs and use the t1 and manfrotto plate which helps
And there customer services are great
