Doing a one off shoot with models painted in UV paint. What are my [cheap?] options to light this. I have no idea what type or wattage.... any advice, links gratefully received!

The cheapest solution may be a UV tube which can be fitted into any florescent strip light, which itself could be wired to a 13A mains plug and can easily be attached to a stand or held by an assistant.

Some of Vikings stage UV lights are powerful but heavy and are attached to a lighting gantry. I've used some of these for drama productions and whilst powerful, they are heavy.

Thanks gents, after some research and talking to a guy who does a lot of this its 4' flourescents/38w are the best and cheapest option.
