Anyone know of an effective way to de-crease one? I've tried using a flower spray but it's having limited effect. I've also tried spraying then blasting with a hairdryer but not the best success. :bang:

I'm not taking an iron to it!!! lol

Is there a secret? :suspect:

Problem with a steam iron (well mine) is that the steam only comes out when the iron is flat, so as soon as I tilt it up towards the cotton the steam stops! lol

May have to get a steamer. I've bought 6 metres (for 2 backgrounds) of 38mm pumbing pipe today - it fits perfectly over the background support bar and the muslin backdrop slides over this nicely so once it's free of creases I can simply roll it up!

(To be precise, I'm actually using a 2m and 1m piece so that I can fold it just the once for transport - only one crease to deal with then).

Will persevere!

Just clip or tape it to the sides of the support to stretch it tight, tape any 'train' to the floor (also a very good idea from a safety viewpoint) and that's all you need with black.

With other colours you may also need to use a plant sprayer - generously.

And when washing, hang it up and stretch it while still damp. Don't overdry.
Ironing is for women other people:)

i find it frustrating and a steamer will have to be the way to go. Need a good surface for splashing colour light over it just to lift it slightly from black.

Hang it in the bathroom when you have a shower or a steamy bath. A couple of those and the creases should drop out unless they are really bad.

I don't have a bathroom which is 3 metres by 6 metres. I'm guessing by your handle you don't either?

No, but if you fold it in say two foot strips and use one of the clippy trouser / skirt hangers it is possible to hang and drape so that you don't end up putting in more creases that you take out.

I have to admit that although my cardboard box may be compact it lets too much steam out for this method.:)
