Black and white project ahead......

Hi,

I'm thinking of converting some of my files into black and whites. Is there a preferred method of doing this? I'm not sure of the look i want yet.

Silver Efex Pro is popular - it essentially adds a lot of contrast adjustments in addition to the control over each tone as described in the post above - but it's remarkably easy to overcook things with it.

I'll look into Silver Efex Pro but if Lightroom can do an equally good job I'll be happy.
