Southern Electric is the way forward. Best customer service according to all the surveys!! Don't go near Npower with a 1000000000000000000000ft bargepole!! :D

Southern Electric ftw too

Avoid BG, I've had nothing but grief from them. Go with E-on and get clubcard points too :)

A good few of the Companies are taking advantage of the current situation. Southern Electric is as well. Just because you have a good credit rating doesn't mean to say they'll pass you, they might consider the sector you're working in is high risk and as a result you'll have to make a deposit anyway.

British Gas...Noooooooooo! They are the most obnoxious set of ***** in the whole world, no the whole universe....AVOID..... AVOID..... AVOID.....Don't do it.... :bonk:

They sent numerous heavy handed debt collectors, threatened to break in, threatened me with court, had people follow me, threatened to ...everything..were total idiots on the phone and totally ignored letters  until in the end I sent a recorded letter to the idiot that runs the company carefully explaining that I have never had an account with them and never would and that any further correspondance that needed any action on my part would be charged at £50 per letter and £100 per hour! I eventually got a completely blank letter other than to say account balance = £0 :D

And guess what I am not even connected up for gas ....They are scum of the highest degree

My gran who was in her 80's received the above treatment from British Gas - for a bill she had paid months before. Just about finished her off. I've had nothing but grief from BG and if they were the last gas company on earth, I still wouldn't go near them.
