For annoying (female) friends who keep posting lame motivational posters, you can drop down the little arrow to the right of the message and do "Unfollow xyz". All is good. But when you try to do that on annoying ads from pages you've never subscribed to in the first place you just get a little "progress" bar that never stops. So you cant unfollow. Is there a way round this?

I use it and like it. Once you customise it to get rid of all the nonsense you don't want, it's o.k. I do think it's funny when people complain about it when it is free to use.

Either use it or don't. It's that simple.

Yes go that on but more ads seem to be slipping through its net these days. Just have to put up with it I guess.

Found the "Add your own filters" page under options and added it. Does it "save" automatically? And presumably leaves all the other default filters in place?

I like Facebook its good for posting up motivational links

look up an add on for firefox called facebook purity sorts all the adds out.

I use AdBlock on Chrome. Never seen an advert on FB since, unless it reopens the page on start up. ie I shut down the computer with FB open, and have it set to reopen all windows on start up. Seems FB is quicker than AdBlock then, but a refresh kills them all.
