...reminds me of a person I was working with had to have a shotgun wedding (and short of money) and asked me to photograph his wedding all I had was a Pentax S3 and nifty fifty...anyway they were happy with my cough record shots in B\W.

Reminds me of a previous life as a DJ; one of my DJ friends had been booked for a party and the couple wanted plenty of 60's music, as he knew I had a good selection of 'oldies' he asked to borrow them, in exchange for a pint. As I was having a weekend off I agreed, and he duly returned the records and bought me a mid-week pint. As I was drinking it he told me he wouldn't need to buy me another as he'd taped all my records... which I thought was a bit sneaky.

A few weeks later, I bumped into said DJ mate and he started calling me all the names under the sun, and blaming me for causing him to almost get lynched! Apparently, the next wedding he'd done he'd put the '60's tape' on as background music while the buffet was on. When a certain record came on the best man and two of the ushers had come pounding over two him and started playing merry hell... the record in question? Shotgun Wedding by Roy C! I told him it bloody well served him right!

Which shows that some things never change!

I can recall the days when 120 negatives smaller than 6x9 were also miniature formats.

And anyone interested in more BJP goodness should take a look at the Internet Archive. A search on "Henry Goodwood" would probably be better than BJP or British Journal of Photography - there are a lot of "british" something or other, journals and titles with photography in them. I just tried "Henry Greenwood" and after the first few you get to the BJP.
