Hi all,
Recieved an email yesterday, from someone using the contact me form on my website with the following,

"George Eastman has sent you a message using your contact form at: http://www.wix.com/BarryHunter/B Hunter Photography/Contact

Senders email: Jstalin192@Gmail.com

Hello sir, I am informing you through this e-mail of a sponsorship; If you carry on your photography with our cameras then on behalf of kodak we would love to sponsor you in your photography, please reply to this e-mail with your answer and for more information.

 has anyone ever seen this before? think its a bit suss, i have emailed kodak and asked them about it, just incase someone is using their name wrongly.

If they were from Kodak, they wouldn't use a gmail address.

Ive seen bigish companies use gmail addresses, but certainly nothing on the size level of kodak.

Also J Stalin? Didn't know a) he was still alive? and b) had given up as being a dictator and gone into photography?

I was gonna mention that but my email address is nowt like my name, and some people are a bit odd in their choices... That said, that makes it even more unlikely to be someone from kodal
 
A quick Google search for "jstalin192" throws up a bunch of results about keylogging and remote access trojans.

George Eastman - founder of Kodak as I'm sure you know - died in 1932. I'd say there is a hint of the suspicious about this :lol:
 
If you get an email from a company and they use a public email service - gmail, hotmail etc. Then delete it.
