Been asked to produce a half page advert for the programme of a black-tie event I'm covering, and could really do with some help and inspiration.

Here are the instructions I've been sent from the printers:

HALF PAGE SIZE
Landscape
180 x 85mm

Programme finished size is 210 x 210mm
Advert to be supplied as: Hi Resolution print ready PDF with fonts embedded.
JPEG, Tiff or EPS files, saved as CMYK at 300dpi.
Quark files which include all support files and fonts.
Sizes above indicate boundary of image & text area (no bleed to be added to adverts).

I have MS Publisher 2007 and Photoshop CS4 but could download a trial version of something else if necessary. Any thoughts, suggestions, maybe a template to work from?

I'm sure you know how to set up the image in PS = FILE -New - 180wx85h x 300 TIFF
I'd just slot in one or two previous black tie shots with location at the venue and prices.

Yep, I can do that. Should have said I don't want to use any images though, just text and logo. Guess I'm looking for inspiration for something a bit different. I should probably just go experiment - thanks.

Try the demo of Xara Xtreme.
