Hey, So I popped to the pub last night with a mate, got back home at 0100 and started browsing, as you do..

I've just bought the Sigma 100-300 F4.

I've waned the lens for a while, I have the Canon 70-200 F4 Non IS already, but wanted a little longer reach for motorsports... (My local track, Cadwell, Is great for getting nice and close.)

Have I made a 'good bad' purchase..?
Reading reviews says it's a pretty decent lens.
 
I have the DG-EX model of the F4 and find it a super lens for the money. Almost sold mine a month ago and glad I kept it. Haven't used it for a while though, but it focuses very fast and is very quite in use.

Reading a few reviews, it does sound like a good lens for the money..

We'll have to see how the 5diii fares with it.

I think I plumped for it as I'm going to Cadwell tomorrow.. but it won't arrive unil Monday haha
 
So, Carlsberg does refresh the parts other purchases do not (y)

enjoying a few 'Jim Beams' last night - i now own another Nikon 50mm 1.8 AF ---- and haven't got the refund yet for the oily one..........:(

Haha l. Having just purchased a Fuji X-T10, Wex sent an email with 10% off lenses a few days later.

How do they know?!
 
Twice I've bought cameras and days later, some cashback scheme has been announced, and in the case of the canon G15, they also announced the G16 the next day... grrrr!
 
I had that lens in Pentax mount and it was fantastic. Only sold it when i moved systems.
 
My biggest drunk purchase was a Nissan skyline eBay is not a friend sometimes lol.
