A freind has misplaced his disc for his 400d, house renovating, its in a box somewhere?
has anyone in the Taunton area got a disc they can lend him, so he can download his pics onto his new laptop?
willing to pay postage etc.

Tell him to get a card reader. He won't need the disc then.

think a card reader might be the answer, the download gets to the last second and then says insert CD

i think the downloads of the internet are all just updates..

maybe someone with a 400D disk might be nice and send you a copy

You shouldnt need the disc, just plug the usb cable in and drag and drop the pics to where u want them. I'm on Windows Vista and have NEVER used the disc.

i cant remember but 64 bit vista was a bit iffy with some models

I just DL it, to my desktop, and stuck it on another pcs desktop, ran it, work OK for me
