There's nothing better than a biscuit with a brew, my favourites are Hobnob, they are nice and tasty a bit like flapjacks. What takes your fancy.

Used to be milk chocolate digestives, but no more. Getting old and unhealthy so have stopped.[emoji23]

Hobnobs for dunking, milk chocolate Hobnobs for munching. For similar reasons to Kev, we rarely have biscuits around - they get scoffed too quickly!

Custard creams ,love the soggy mess they make when they break off into my coffee cup

Cadbury Snack biscuits, more addictive than crack cocaine, also quite partial to shortbread in all its various guises

Getting old as well, too late now I fear to worry about health issues, damage is done so fill that biscuit tin up.

Good ginger biscuit - got to have some heat to it though :)

Another vote for dark chocolate digestives. Ginger nuts, plain digestive or Abernethy for dunking.

Ooh not had 1 for ages - think I'm going to pop out and pick some up today :D

Enjoy, I know you will

When we still lived in London the local market sold big bags of loose Snack and Fingers, they were rejects where the chocolate hadn't covered properly or two had stuck together.

See what I mean about the damage already being done

In no particular order

Dark chocolate digestives
Butter biscuits
Bourbons
Ginger biscuits with butter on

Ooooh pack it in - shops aren't open for another hour and I want some now...:)

Another for dark choc digestives!!! If only they weren't about 100 cal each.

Yep, you can't beat a good ginger!
:whistling:

Incidentally, have you tried the Lidl gingers? Just as good as Mc V's but only 25p. (y)
Ooo I like a good ginger, gotta be worth a try

As for dunking, home made flap jacks, the fruit is the sloes, from the sloe gin, soaked for 10 months, adds a little "interest" to the flavour, and they don't go soggy the
minute you show them a cup of coffee

Forget Bourbons.
Try to get Aussie Tim Tams instead.

Haha, yeah, the Tim Tam suck.

Daughter brought us some over several years ago to try. Bite off opposing corners/top & bottom, dip & suck. (y) Like a great big chocolate straw. (y)

Granddaughter is coming over for Christmas, think i'll ask her to bring a few packs. ;)

Smart move.
I'm not a biscuit fan, but a Tim tam with ice cold milk...mmmmmm :-)

Have you ever been offered a biscuits from a posh box of biscuits, its full of all sorts but right in the middle is one that is wrapped in red silver foil, there's no indication what it is but that's the one you want. Being polite you chose a different one and the next person to be offered one, picks the special biscuit with the red silver foil. I always wondered what is was, the one with the red silver foil.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I put you on to this recipe last year:) Glad you find them irresistible, my sloes are soaking in the gin as we speak. Hubby looks forward to the flapjacks more than the sloe gin

Are arrowroot biscuits still around?

Yes our local supermarket has them.
Had some the other month for the first time in absolute ages ...
Memories from way back!

Those were always the firs thing my mum gave us kids to nibble on after a tummy bug, because they were so incredibly bland.

I think that was their whole point, along with shelf life!

Funny enough, this is why I picked some up - feeling very rubbish suffering migraine and needed to eat something, usual Rich Tea or Ginger nuts I didn't fancy, saw these and bought a pack...

I was the first one to take that one with the red foil. It never disappointed.
