Birmingham Sea Life Centre any good?

Birmingham SEA life centre? Sounds as likely as the Norfolk Mountain Rescue Team! (The NMRT actually existed - as a troupe of jugglers - rather good ones at that!)

It's pretty good, is much bigger than it looks on the outside. Have 2 5ft green turtles which were a surprise.

Not bad, although I got round it in about half an hour. I was expecting it to be bigger.

I have been a few times and for that age range it is pretty good. There is a few areas to handle sea life and plenty of displays that you can get close to. Last time I went, there was a good 4D! cinema experience. The tunnel walk at the end is pretty good, particularly if its your first time there. Buy tickets online before you go though to save money on the door, or shop around for a 2 for 1 deal. Tesco's here are doing them with petrol at the mo.

Enjoy

Thanks guys, will see if I can fish out a 2 for 1 or something.

I actually have a 2 for 1 for there that came with my shopping yesterday but that's of no use to you if your going tomorrow :(

Hi Matt, didn't actually go yesterday as we couldn't find a deal.
We went to Legoland in Manchester at the Trafford Centre, we were going to do sealife there but Caitlin wanted to do the new dive thing which was going to cost more, so will be doing it later in the year, probably around christmas time so it falls around Xaviers first birthday too.

Thinking of going tomorrow for ny daughters 8th birthday. Just wondering if anyone knows what its like.

Been a couple of times and personally I wouldnt bother - take her somewhere else to be honest.

Anyone saying the SLC isn't worth it, or they got around in half an hour, must've run and not actually looked at anything

It is easily a half day experience - just take some time, read a bit and look at the fish for more than 1 or 2 seconds each.
