Hi,
I am looking to get some shots of birds of prey and have seen a few places dotted around the country that have daily shows. The question is which one is the best one to visit as obviously I don't want to spend 2-3 hours travelling there if its not going to be worth it.
The places I've found so far are:

Any advise on those would be great or if you can recommend any other locations that would be appreciated.

I highly recomend the Hawk Conservancy Trust. As you will be travelling a fair distance I would pick a weekend when the weather is good.
The displays are a little longer than in the week and there are plenty of other photographers to chat to:)

If you go through the week you get a more personal attention as there may only be a few of you.
The staff are very friendly and will talk to you about what they love, birds of prey.

At the moment they are flying the snowy owl but that will stop as the weather gets hotter.

First display 11.45 Varied birds a the moment but include striated caracara, Secretary bird, snowy owl & the famous Indian Runner Duck race

Second 2pm African fish Eagle, lots Black kites, hooded vultures, white headed vulture and some hawks

Third, mainly owls, Eagle Ural, Scops

I go about twice a month and every time we have something new. Love it.

Get in early have a coffee and go to the hide for the heron feed and if your lucky Kestrels & kites will turn up

Well, half the regulars in the bird forum appear to have travelled around the world eight times to get to Worlaby, Lincs. to get shots of the same owl(s) (assumption based on some quick googling). 'Tis but a mere pop to the shops from Staffs in comparison ;)

Thanks Ryan, its probably going to be more like a week on Friday that I will be going down there as thats the next weekday that I have off work.

Not far from junction 19 on the M6. They also do photography days where they fly and pose birds indoors and outdoors. The cafe is pretty good as well. well worth the trip.
 
Did you get the list of locations, instructions, and maps that I drew for you a few weeks ago after you asked me for them? They were mailed to you but you didnt reply to say you had recieved them.

Sorry for not replying quicker but things have been a bit hectic. I did receive your pm thanks. I wasn't able to open the images though as it says they were not available.
However from your directions I thin I know where you are describing. I did try to go by the scout huts the other weekend but there was a mountain bike race on so there was not much chance of getting shots of birds with all the noise and people around so I went to Woseley instead.
I did take a walk behind the Rugby club and found the feeding station. There was a nice selection of Finches there that day so had a nice 45mins there.
