We look at the bird section here regular and although birds with no engine are not our thing we do like em a lot but are clueless to what they are by sight or colour, you a Magpie or crow is about all we know so does anyone know of a decent book we can buy that gives a good description of each species of UK bird for us to check out

this is a great book for all wildlife not just birds, but isn't one you'd want to carry around - Smiths were doing this a while back in stores for £12, might be worht a check.
