Thanks guys for your comments - all this stuff is quite new to me as I only really take shots of birds and wildlife - so if my comments on others' posted images are few, it is because I do not feel qualified to comment technically on anything other than bird and wildlife images

Re the spiders web ____ well spotted. I think that should get double points. Nice sharp vibrant exsposure.

Interesting shot. Usually everyone goes out of their way to blur out chain link fences, yet in this it is the focal point.
Well shot, I like that the background is in enough focus that you can make it out, but OoF enough that it is obviously not the focal point of the shot.
Great colours too.

Hi Bill. Nice response to the Captive theme ... just hoping you are on the "right" side of that fence ! Great stuff

Really like the 'captive' shot - the sunlight on the fence makes it stand out brilliantly against the background.

I like the post box in the Old picture glad you kept it in.
nothing to add on the metal signs
Like that the focus of the captive picture is the fence

Theres great depth to both Metal and Captive. Captive really stands out for me. Nice moody sky, good focus across the fence and wire, I like that it's asymmetrical with the post on the right. Very nice (y)

Brilliant light and composition for the captive shot.

Week 3 - Miniature

Wk_4.jpg

Hi Bill. They certainly look tiny all the way down there. Envy your location and access to endless photographic opportunities.

A nice little T&S image Bill

Hi, looks like you reduced the clarity a little too much

But, nice vantage point and who doesn't love elephants :)

Cheers.

At first I didn't spot what was miniature, but that at be my eyesight! Definitely on topic and I like that it's not just the elephants that are mini. Good effort, Bill.

Thanks all I did reduce the clarity as I wanted to give it a 'soft" look

Great set Billl, I like the way your thinking interpreting the themes. My favourite has to be Captive. I like the way you using the DOF to isolate the razor wire. A bit of a shame about the cobwebs but I'm being super picky there. I just found my eye drawn to it. (y)

Miniature beautiful image, great processing.

Happy - Lovely image they both look happy (did you get the shots after where they started fighting.......:D) Nice DOF and some lovely natural lighting

Well done on perfectly capturing the moment

Happy - great shot, captured the moment really well :)

Metal - great and colourful shot, somehow the bullet holes add to the scene, sort of tells you a story of what the area and locals are like!

Captive - simple and to the point, sharp shot too. I like it.

Miniature - I guess it fits but theres something not right about it, seems like the contrasts been dropped way down or some sort of smoothings taken place.

Happy - Birds are both unusual and sharp, love the red around the eyes. Nice and uncluttered.

A nice clean sharply focused image - excellent response to the theme.

Real nice colours round the eyes I have never seen pigeons this colour great spot and well captured (y)

The miniature image is a beaut, Bill, well spotted and an original take on the theme.

Good capture on the birds, they certainly look a happy couple

The bird do look happy, well spotted and very sharp.
