Would love a Billingham bag but out of my price range unfortunately. Has anyone experience of similarly styled bags/manufacturers names?

Thanks,
Al

No thanks - if I was prepared to pay that much I would buy a Billingham.

that's one of their main selling points they don't look like a camera bag ,so it's not shouting 'go on steal me i have expensive camera gear in me ;

That used to work, but thieves do their homework too, they know we try to hide the fact we got expensive gear :D

I have both of them. They both do the job well but IMO there is that extra special feel to the Billingham bag that I dont get with Think Tank

RedSnapper do a beige canvas bag - capacious and well made.

Thank you. Have looked at the Redsnapper site and they do two - but both are ginormous. A pity as either one would have fitted the bill otherwise.

I have to say I seem to have most manufacture of bags and by far the best quality is my Billingham 207. Mine's in black as I don't particularly like the khaki colours but I do think it will last me years, great value in the end [as I've spent a small fortune chopping and changing]

One thing I like of my Billingham 555 (and Kata rucksack) that the bag itself actually not only provides protection but that it doesn't weigh a tonne. Don't under estimate what you will have to comprise on by reducing your budget. You would want to equipment to survive a drop, don't want to add to the weight, comfortable to carry, etc...
