Bikers and All Related Stuff.

I have the beard(ish), but no motorbike.... Loud exhaust on the car in the garage though :D

Any advice on where I can buy a litre or two of anti-fling THICK chain oil...? I'm currently using anti-fling chainsaw oil for my Scottoiler, but looking for thicker anti-fling oil, something like Castrol EP90 but with anti-fling please.
I've tried using the supplied/dedicated Scott oil but it's too thin for me, I've had the Scottoiler fitted for over seven years etc.

Any advice welcome....

Here's mine.

Owned from new and up to just under 30,000 miles, 18k of which were done in the first couple of years. It's the longest I've ever owned the same bike. I went through a period of swapping bikes every year or so but this one is perfect for me. I've always fancied a second bike to sit alongside this one and flit between looking at a classic of some sort or a new one. Still undecided but the reality is it'd never get used. The one I've got has only done 700 miles in the last year.

Very appealing (y) I'm a bit out of touch with modern stuff but looks a comfy right and as I get older, comfort becomes a higher priority :D

Been riding ever since I was 8, had more bikes than I can remember.Trials bikes, Motox, all sorts of road bikes. Me and me mate even bought a Jawa 500 speedway bike back in the late 80's,we used to take it to Pilling Sands just north of Fleetwood when they aloud bikes on the beach, now that was hard to ride!

Was a keen GS chap in the early 80's having a couple of 750's and a 1000. Always fancied a kettle but never got round to buying one.

Ride a 20 year old XJR1200 now but only when the suns shining and it 15 degs+ :D

Here's me in the mid 70's on a BSA bantam. I'll be about 13, no idea why I'm still in mi school uniform 'cos I wasn't aloud to ride it until I'd got changed .........I must have thought I looked smarter than being in mi scruffs!

As I get older, a low seat is becoming a priority! Maybe I should see a quack and get on a waiting list for some hips. Luckily the Speedmaster fits the bill for a low seat and even luckier, it's just sailed through its MOT with just an advisory for a cracked headlight lens. Gave me an excuse for a 1/2 hour blat around the lanes to warm it up. Saw 2 foxes on the trip as well which was an unexpected bonus.

A pass is good news. I thought they'd sorted out the vibration on the new triumphs ;):). My 750 bonneville had an appetite for bulbs but not lenses. Although it did rattle off a chain guard and the top off the kickstart lever on separate occasions.

It's a stone chip crack. The kickstart seems to have vibrated clean off mine - even the hole in the case has healed over!!! :P Usually use the kicker on the Enfield rather than the electric foot though. (The Harley I had custody of 25ish years ago had enough compression that I could stand on the kicker pedal and I was close to 20 stone in riding kit back then!
Sun shining today so took Mrs Nod out for a spin and lunch. Dropped in to the second hand place on the way home to see if there was anything I fancied. Other than a 1/2 cute BMW, nowt grabbed me and the little Bimmer was way overpriced. Still have a weird hankering for a Rocket 3 (not the old Beezer!) but don't do the miles that such a toy would deserve. Besides, my car is more economical on a long run as well as being far more comfortable!

Be aware that Royal Enfield's chroming and paint is absolute (rhymes with might...)! IMO the Bullet EFi Café racer looks better than the Continental, especially with the alloy tank and seat hump. I'm sometimes tempted to convert mine but I'm getting too old for clip-ons and rearsets!

Well I had a 50cc scrambler when I was 16, moved on to cars for convenience and then came back to biking 12 years ago with a 1995 Yamaha FZR600R, then onto a 1998 Kawasaki ZX6R and then a 2001 Suzuki GSXR600. Had a little break away from bikes for about 18months and then came back with my R1 which I regret selling :

And then onto my current bike, a 2005 Rossi Edition Yamaha R6 :

Hope you bought a lottery ticket or two!!
When we did Scotland in May a few years back we got wet (drenched actually) at some point every day.
Still had a cracking time though.
Nice bikes!:)

Tried a couple of THESE on yesterday. Could be fun - but at a hell of a price! I'll be sticking to the bikes rather than this sort of trike, although I could be tempted by a Rocket 3 powered trike (or indeed, bike!) or the 512BB tail end with a trike front end that was floating around at the tail end of the '70s... Maybe a 911turbo grafted onto a Boom style.

Weather's definitely been 4 wheels and roof up this weekend but maybe it'll brighten up next week. Here's hoping!
