Thanks all,
I've been taking it really easy the last couple of days (because it's been raining a lot

) and will be for quite a while it seems
I got fairly lucky with the bike though, it's a 2007 Hornet, it is an ex-demo with 70 miles on the clock (125 odd now) came with the flyscreen and rear seat cowl, and cost £600 less than the new bike would have.
I'm getting a rear hugger fitted next week, and crash mushrooms this week (mainly because they forgot to get them put on the order despite me asking for them).
The alarm will unfortunately have to wait a month or so because I can't afford it.
(not that the alarm is essential, I have got the biggest and heaviest chain & disclock combination going)
It runs like a dream, is comfy to ride nicely balanced and pulls like a train (though I've not taken it over 6000 revs because it's not yet had it's first service and the engine isn't broken in).
