I see that BigNorman advertise on here, I heard that they are a company out of Gibralter, has anyone any experiance of them, I am not entiely sure about them, am considering a Canon 60D or 7D.
I'm a relative rookie, well newly back after a break of many years and would appreciate any info

I was thinking about it but did some more research and dodgy flags went up. Digital Rev gets a lot of good reviews as does Onestop Digital. My wish list will be cheaper at Onestop but Onestop is located near the Chung King Mansions in HKG, the dodgiest place I have been to in all of Asia whereas Digital Rev has there own place on this forum and there staff post here so its a bit more reassuring.

Thanks for your help, I may be being an "old Woman" but this will be a major expense for me and I can't afford to get it wrong, I guess no one can, and it may well be my last camera purchase.

My next door neighbour has just this week received his Canon 550D + lenses + memory cards from Big Norman - exactly as described and delivered as advertised.

His experience was very positive if that's of any use in your decision making.

Hi
I purchased my Canon 60D with 18-55mm and 55-250mm from Bignorman.
The bundle was over £100 cheaper than anywhere else (although that was before i joined this forum!)
This is what i found;
They are based in Gibralter.
Everything arrived quickly and as described and is still working!
They sent the wrong filter which took them 2 more times of sending the same wrong item out to get it right!!
The lens was i believe a US market lens (55-250mm) but works fine!
Not sure where the body was sourced from.
The CD software was an Asian/Oceana market one, but works fine on my pc.
I believe they are so cheap because the items are grey imports.
When i questioned them on the warranties, they said they send off all the serial numbers etc for their insurers because they give a 3 year warranty on all items.
in a nutshell, i was happy with them, and couldn't find any nasty surprises about them on the internet, but like all things, i suppose you only know how good companies are when things go wrong!
If you want that extra piece of mind, and money isn't a problem, buy from a UK shop!
Hope you enjoy your camera wherever you buy from!
