Hi ,

what software etc are you using to view / transfer them to the PC ?

You need to be careful about whether the software you used just copied the images to your PC (if you've saved them on the PC) or moved them to the PC which will leave you with no images on the card.

Well I'm the last person to advise you on work flow, I'm totally disorganised. Most people would say though that the sensible thing to do is stick your CF card in the PC straight away and download the pics to the PC before you even look at them, so they're safely stored on the hard drive. This also frees up your CF card to take more pics straight away.

Most people also copy their pics to another hard drive as a backup safety measure in the event of a hard drive failing. It's also a good idea to burn them to CDs now and again. You just can't be too careful. :)

If you have a PC you should primarily store your photos in a folder on your computer. Secondarily you can back them up to CD or memory card or whatever. A memory card isnt the most cost effective solution :)
