For the budding sports photogs out there...

A good friend of mine, Syd Low, started a blog earlier this year aimed at helping anyone getting into the sports photography business. Sydney Low is one of the most respected sports photographers in Australia and just a great guy. His blog posts/podcasts include how to set up your camera (Canon or Nikon) for sports shooting, to applying for accreditation for various events, local and international. I haven't listened to any of the podcasts yet, but I'm sure you guys will find it interesting..

The sad thing is we downunder are losing him to you boys in the UK, last night he was asking about property prices around Oxford. My guess is that he'd be aiming for 1st div football seeing that's what he is doing here mostly.....

Hey Barry - thanks for your kind words - I'm only leaving for 6 months - bit of a family sabbatical, and hoping to shoot some winter sports in the Alps.

Hope to meet a few of you on this forum - I'll be based in Oxford (long story) but hope to get to some matches around the place.
