Where I am staying for the moment have just had their local carnival. I grabbed a super place to take photos and others wanted to get there as well.
One of the stewards asked if i was a professional photographer working for a local paper. I said NO
but I worked as a free lance
. From then on this steward stopped others getting infront of me so I got some half decent shots even though in my opinion the carnival was not that spectacular.
Just goes to show turn up with a big camera and a large lens works wonders. Oh what camera and lens I hear you ask? Well I took my Nikon D800 with grip and my 24-70mm lens. Looks impressive anyway and secured me a decent view point.
Won,t post any photos as most do include children, although in the parade and a general shot, best to respect any parents who may object
