We are going to visit my brother and friends in Sydney soon then on to Hawaii - 2 islands - and then a few days in San Diego before coming home. I like to shoot and/seascapes when I can and also would like to shoot some birds but not sure there will be much opportunity. Not sure if I would be allowed to take a long lens to the baseball match in SD.

I had a practice pack (carry on) the other day and it seemed too heavy especially with shoulders that aren't yet right. So my revised list was a 16-35 2.8, 50 1.4, fisheye and 300m f4 plus 1.4 converter. (Have a 5D3)

What do you think? Thanks.

I think that 16 to 420 mm are wide enough
range so leave the fisheye at home.

Swap your 16-35mm for the f4 is version you'll save weight and get a sharper lens! Ditch the fish eye it seems pointless for the handful of times you will use it!

Ah... I would if I had the cash! I had wondered about that . Perhaps another time. Maybe I could take the 100mm macro instead?
