Better to be fat than lazy......

Too right. Here's the goody bag from the marathon I ran yesterday. Put
together by <cough> a qualified nutritionist.....

Did they get the qualifications off the internet? That "goody bag" is just any cheap old s***e they have thrown together. No thought other than the 9bar of which I have my doubts anyway would supply the proper nutrients your body really needed.
Suggestions from a sports nutritionist, http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...=Tc5HictxEe-ajaFrrt_Sgg&bvm=bv.83829542,d.d2s

Further suggestions https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=best+recovery+food+after+a+marathon all fairly similar to the link above and yet strangely none even remotely similar to what you were provided with, other than maybe an energy bar.

Jesus...read his post again.
Allow it's non-serious nature to wash over you.
Then maybe lighten up a bit.

No one will get lighter eating that s***e, that's for sure. I'm beginning to think my pointing out elements of poor diet has got you overly rattled for some reason.

Then you overestimate yourself :-)

Yeah, I'm going to have to stop discussing nutrition on the internet - it's far too easy to wind people up....... :D

The bottom line is that, with the exception of Cheezy Wotsits, there are very few absolutes in nutrition. A lot of it depends on where the person is coming from, where they are now and what their goals are. And most of the stuff that is quoted as fact is either subjective at best, unproven or in many cases totally made up.

But I'd still suspect that the people who put that goodie bag together actually know a little more about nutrition for endurance athletes than you do. For one thing, you missed the fact that it's all vegan ;)

It's not pointing out facts that's the issue, it's the fact you seen to be taking the tongue in cheek comments seriously:p

wait so are we saying the snickers duo and redbull i had for breakfast this morning wasnt nutritionally balanced?

No no....it's fine.
The redbull saved you. :-)
