Better scanning film holders

Does anyone use the better scanning film holders. I'm not sure about the focussing on my Epson 4490 with how much the negs sag in the holder, so I've been looking at the better scanning holders. Are they worth the investment, especially given how much extra they will be with the crappy exchange rate at the minute.

Not yet.

But I don't think I'll need them until I start to print really big and then small benefits become, well, enlarged I guess

I didn't know about these - I may be interested at some point when funds permit, as it would give me the option to scan and print 6x17 (if I ever get a 617 back for my LF camera).

I've bookmarked their site for further perusal!

Something I'll probably get at a later stage. These film holders have a great reputation. The film holders which come with even top end scanners tend to be pretty flimsy affairs.

I think I'm going to wait a while for the exchange rate to improve and until I start taking photos that deserve the more accurate scanning. I've got lots to improve in camera before I worry too much about scanning I guess.
