Better Call Saul

Looking forward might too optimistic, I'm looking hopefully towards it as I so want it to be good (just can't shake the idea it will be a sub-par cash in :( )

Will certainly be checking it out.

Some reviewers are saying it is better than BBad.
Trailer:

Will there be a 'The rise of Gus'?

Didn't at least one of those characters in the trailer not make it to the end of Braking Bad?
Edit - Ooops, just noticed it's a prequel.....

Think we'll be checking this out, is it only on Netflix though?

Had forgotten about this, will definitely be taking a look.

I suspect it will be available for free as streaming video the day after transmission on one of the streaming web sites...

Always thought BB was overrated compared to masterpieces like The Wire or The Sopranos. I'll give Better Call Saul a watch, but I'm thinking it will be over hyped.

I haven't watched The Wire but even The Sopranos fell on stony ground in the middle and got a bit boring, breaking bad is a slow burner, it takes a couple of seasons for walter to show his true colours then it shines, It's the only TV series apart from Band of Brothers and The Pacific that I've ever watched more than once all the way through.

The Wire is second only to The Sopranos for me. The Shield is worth watching if you are into cop shows and Deadwood if you like westerns. The first 4 series of Dexter are brilliant TV too and Mad Men is really good.

Each to their own. I couldn't get into The Wire, it just didn't appeal to me.

Wow! the scene with ....nah :-) I won't spoil it for you. Watched it this afternoon

Watching it tonight ;)

That was fun :)

I'm going to watch it tonight, I can't be bothered waiting for progs to air in the UK.
The reviews look good but I am but I wonder how many people will try to compare it to breaking bad.

Very good. Shame they aren't releasing the whole series in one go though. I'm a binger!

I've just watched the 2nd episode, I think AMC and Vince Gilligan could be onto anther winner, normally I wouldn't bother with programe about a lawyer but know what a shaddy character was in Breaking Bad may keep my interest.

That was good. Very watchable. I think the series is off to a very good start.

Was feeling very apprehensive about it as we are both huge Breaking Bad fans but we have Netflix ( bought specifically girl BB last year ) so will watch this weekend.

Only two episodes to go :(

Why did they have to end it like that tonight? Aargh!

Keep thinking of going to see this.

Well reccomemded ??

Yep, my wife and I enjoyed it. You really need to know breaking bad quite well to get the most out of it though.
Do you think so? I disagree. The characters stand on their own two feet. Mike is a totally different guy. So is Jimmy. Before BB. I think you could appreciate this without having seen BB.

I like the way it's a slow build. Makes a change from the usual blood and guts spilt every two minutes followed by a car chase and an explosion. Gives you time to get to know the characters and their personalities.

I think he was referring to the One Man BB Show. ;)

Yep, as fabs said, One Man Breaking Bad show :-)

End of season: I enjoyed it, but as a single series, I didn't find it brilliant (my wife at the end - 'is that it?'!). Maybe it will be like breaking bad where it starts relatively slowly, but when watched as a whole is brilliant. It has set up the next series quite nicely and I really like the characters, dialogue. But wasn't wowed at a any point.
