Hi all,

Looking at a bag which is a very good price on the bestdslrcamera.co.uk website, has anyone ever used it?

I searched for the bag name and it was high up on the Google findings although can't find any reviews of the site.

Cheers in advance for any help,

Dan

Just searched the phone number and it comes back as Dixon Electronics, megabrickstore, topreader, igadgetstore, amongst tons of other sites

I might be way off track but in the very furthest recesses of my tiny mind something rings a bell. A couple of years ago there was something like this that was a scam. Can't remember the details and this might be completely different.
As ever caveat emptor!

Yeah it's screaming all the wrong signs to me tbh. The biggest sign is that the bag is half price everywhere else, usually a good indication.

A WHOIS search on the website shows the address of the registrant (on Google street view) to be a residential address in Derry.

There is no "About Us" link on the website which is pretty standard and the only means of contact is a telephone number linked to other websites... hmmm.

Just the web address on it's own screams "Scam!"..

But beyond that, the website itself is so amateurish - and lacks the basic minimum legally required information for a UK e-commerce website. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

I've stayed clear thanks guys.

Buying the bag at 'full' price on Amazon.

This looks really dodgy. After adding a lens to the basket, checkout then forwards buyers to a page which looks like it might be a UK Amazon Page, but might not be. Their site has no contact information other than what appears to be other legitimate companies call centre telephone number. So it might be an attempt to skim Amazon account user names and passwords. Looks like another variation of Planet Canon which listed it's premises as an empty industrial unit, appeared on the web and equally quickly disappeared after enticing advance orders for the Canon 7D Mk 2 at a too good to be true price.
