Best way to learn Lightroom

I've downloaded the 30 day evaluation of Lightroom 2 and on the advice of a friend signed up to a tutorial website for 1 month.
I'm having a few problems though.
I can't stand the teachers voice
He goes too quickly
I can't stand his voice
he appears to be teaching Lightroom for Mac and I have a PC
and...you guessed!

I've just ordered Lightroom for Dummies but I'm looking for other ways to learn the application.I know I can just start playing around with it but I know I will miss out on essentials.

YouTube has thousands of tutorials.... Great starting point for FREE.

learn to love smart collections

let it add xmp sidecar files

I rate this software very highly, worth every penny, use at as much as you can, trial and error, and you tube videos are a great resource.

There just seems soo bloody much to play around with where do you start

I'm going to just press every button for the next week or so and see what happens!!

honestly one of the simplest pieces of software i've ever used, it amazes me how thick books can be written about it, explore and mess around

just look up how sync works and all should be good

I just played with it and if I came across soemthing I couldn't do, I Googled it. However I also found some extra useful things by reading Martin Evening's book.
