Hello,

I recently came back from my holiday abroad, and there are some bits of sand on my LCD screen and UV filter - I want to get them off but I don't want to scratch either of them.

This might be a silly question but what is the best way to clean them both without getting scratches from the sand? Also can I use normal window/glass cleaner on these or is it not safe to do so (risk of damage?)?

Will :D.

Rocket blower to blow away the bits and then may be a lenspen.

Once you have sorted out the lens and screen I would recommend getting a screen protector on asap and also make sure no sand got inside.

:agree:

Don't use window cleaner;)

Thanks for the help, I have just ordered both :)

Hi Chris, thanks for the help. Yes I should've done that already really, whilst I was on holiday I wiped the screen with a microfibre cloth I didn't realise there was a minute bit of sand on it and it scratched (only very little) - but I don't want any more scratches!

Ive got the hard one on mine and it has actually damaged the screen, it is kept off the screen by a thin border of foam, but it pressure is put on the screen it touches the LCD, this has left marks.
So I would say the sticky thin one from my experience
