Best value medium format cameras?!?!

I agree with your comment on electronics.

One electronic MF which no one is willing to touch, even though its the best in the business, is the Rollei early models ( SL66?). I was told by an old camera man to keep away from them and always go for a blad 500 series; as no one will be able to repair them.

Joxby has an interesting take on 6X6; and I couldn't argue with that. I use his principle of imagining I am looking out of a window; and it helped, but its still not easy for me. ( that said, I have a lousy sense of framing, so basically I stink at photography....).

Well, I'm just gonna chuck in my offering in the £50 - £100 bracket.

Yashicamat TLR, I like 124's and the fact it is 6x6 is a complete random coincidence...:)

Any excuse to post a pic of mine.

Possibly my favourite camera of all time - I just get strange rustlings in my trousers when I pick it up.:D

Lordy, god help my credit card after this thread! Too much to choose from and not enough cash

Everything you see there except the metered prism head, but with the waist level fiinder cost me 350 quid. That was from a gent who'd owned it from new, used it a few times in the studio and then gone fully digital.

CT, what back is that on your RB67?
And I agree, for what you pay, you get a heck of a lot of camera, making the RB67 excellent value :)

It takes either 120 or 220 film and has different pressure plates for each film. The bit on the bottom of the camera is the power winder which plugs into the 120/220 back. A single stroke on the side cocking lever then cocks the shutter and winds on. I don't use the power winder much tbh, but it does sound pretty cool. :D

Well, I'm heading out to Teddington today to see what they have. But I'm most definitely leaving my credit card behind me ... must.... resist.... until.... paycheck day....
