best trigger

I have a portalight softbox and brolly two light setup. Currently using my speedlight to trigger.
what is best, x-sync cord or hotshoe wireless ? What is difference in functon and theory of operation or is it just two menas to an end. My body does have xsync mode.

Just different means to an end. You usually get a slight drop in x-sync shutter speed with cheaper radio triggers, like 1/200sec to 1/160sec. Nothing major.

Yongnuo RF-602 is usually the best bet, from Amazon.
