Best tool for editing exif data

Hi all.
What's the best bit of software to check/edit exif data?
Been asked about how to anonymise some images prior to uploading.
I have LR if helpful.

I have a feeling that simply "Saving for Web" from PS strips EXIF, not sure if LR does the same.

ExifTool is quite a good editor. It covers most if not all of the normally editable fields and let's you do batches etc.

There are other hacked versions that let you do a lot more than you would normally be able to as well, you just have to dig about for that though.

When you export an image in LR I'm fairly certain that there's an option box for what data to include within an image.

When exporting an image from LR there is options. At the bottom of the options list is a "Metadata" box that allows several options, from no Exif data, through to all Exif data.

Digikam can display, edit, import, remove and copy EXIF data. Individually and in batch. All interactively. I will also let you add GPS locations in batch. It's free and does a whole lot of other good things too.
