best Teleconverter

whats the best Teleconverter to go with Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO HSM lens and a Nikon D200 Camera, any thoughts and advice welcome.

I have just bought the Kenko 1.4 Pro 300 to fit my 80 - 400mm AF VR f/4.5-5.6D and D200 ...

First real outing today and first impressions are it is a great bit of kit ... no loss of functionality They do a x2 as well and equivalent less expensive units too ...

Similar Nikon units would not fit with this lens would you believe ... loss of functionality ... esp. AF ...

My Sigma 1.4x tc is pretty good.

First choice would be a Sigma unit .... should be matched better with their own glass. I've got a Kenko which works ok with my Nikon stuff. There will always be a trade-off whichever marque you use.
